About Careganize
Care, organized.
Careganize was born from my own caregiving journey with my mom.
Not too long ago, my mom was independent. As her health changed, so did our lives. Little by little, she began needing more help, and I found myself taking on responsibilities I never imagined I would one day be managing for her.
At first, it was easy to think of caregiving as doctor's appointments and medications. But I quickly learned that it was so much more.
It was keeping track of schedules and health information. Remembering what happened at appointments. Managing medications. Communicating with family. Coordinating with nurses, doctors, and specialists. Watching for changes. Trying to remember what needed to happen next.
And as my mom's care became more complex, the list of things I needed to keep track of grew with it. Eventually, dialysis became part of our lives, too.
As her care became more complex, I also learned how important it was to pay attention to the little changes and to speak up when something didn't seem right. I knew my mom in a way her doctors and nurses couldn't from a single appointment or shift, and sometimes the things I noticed became important questions to bring to her care team.
I learned that being her caregiver also meant being her advocate—not because I had all the answers, but because I was the person beside her every day, noticing, remembering, and asking questions.
I wasn't a professional caregiver. No one handed me a guide for how to manage all of this. I was simply a daughter trying to take care of my mom.
Some days felt overwhelming. I wasn't just caring for her—I felt like I was trying to hold everything together.
There were moments when I wondered if I was forgetting something important. Even when I wasn't actively doing something for her care, I was often thinking about the next medication, appointment, treatment, question for the doctor, or thing I needed to remember.
That mental load rarely turned off.
Over time, I also learned something I didn't expect: caring for someone you love can make it very easy to forget about yourself. I began to understand that creating routines, staying organized, and protecting some space for my own well-being weren't selfish—they helped me be more present for my mom.
That's why I created Careganize.
I didn't want to build another medical app. I wanted to create the kind of organizer I kept wishing I had—one private place to help me keep track of the everyday details of my mom's care without having to carry all of those details in my head.
And I knew I couldn't be the only person feeling this way.
Careganize is for the daughter, son, spouse, sibling, or family member who suddenly finds themselves managing more than they ever expected simply because someone they love needs them.
You don't have to be a professional caregiver. You don't have to have all the answers. Sometimes, you're simply doing your best to keep up with everything that caring for someone can bring.
My hope is that Careganize can make some of that a little easier—to help you feel more organized, more prepared, and a little less consumed by everything there is to remember.
Because underneath all of the medications, appointments, treatments, schedules, and notes, you're still someone who loves this person. And sometimes you just want the space to be with them.
That's what I want Careganize to help give back.
If Careganize can make even one caregiver's journey a little less overwhelming, then it has accomplished what I hoped it would.
Thank you for trusting Careganize to be part of your caregiving journey.
We're glad you're here.
